“Our bodies are falling apart and I think I will follow you soon” T-shirt – A touching tribute to enduring love

The text on this shirt originates from the final letter Leonard Cohen sent to Marianne Ihlen his former partner, lifelong friend, and the muse behind several of his famous songs. In July 2016, upon learning that Ihlen was critically ill, Cohen immediately sent her a deeply moving farewell message.

Crafted from a soft, breathable cotton blend, this white Our Bodies Are Falling Apart And I Think I Will Follow You Very Soon Shirt offers reliable comfort for both daily wear and special occasions. Its classic unisex silhouette provides an easy fit across the shoulders and torso without feeling restrictive. A reinforced crew neck and carefully finished seams ensure the shirt holds its shape, while the durable back print remains crisp with proper care.

The design features a graceful line of black serif text running across the upper back of the clean white shirt. Its refined typography evokes a personal letter, keeping the emotional weight of the words front and center. Generous spacing and a centered layout create a calm, contemplative look, while the monochrome palette pairs effortlessly with casual layers, denim, or tailored streetwear.

Styling and care

Pair the white shirt with black denim for a clean, monochromatic look, or wear it under an open jacket to keep the back design visible. Its neutral tone also complements relaxed trousers, faded jeans, casual shorts, or subtle accessories.

Choose the shirt for a wardrobe piece defined by tenderness, memory, and connection. The quiet back print invites others to pause and read. Add it to your collection today and carry these unforgettable words with you wherever your path leads.
