Fordham’s New York Liberty For The Grit Grace And Glory Shirt – T-shirt featuring the spirit of New York City

Fordham University recently partnered with New York Liberty on a project focused on student career opportunities, community engagement, mentoring, and networking across New York City. This partnership was celebrated at Fordham Day at Barclays Center on August 29, 2026, where attendees received specially designed shirts related to the campaign.

Brooklyn artist Josh Zepeda, working under the pseudonym “A Kid from Brooklyn,” created the artwork on the shirt. His design combines Fordham’s “For the Grit, Grace, and Glory” campaign with illustrations inspired by the Statue of Liberty. One of the standout phrases is “For the Grit, Grace, and Glory,” reflecting the perseverance, confidence, ambition, and identity of New York City. Hundreds of attendees reportedly lined up to purchase the shirts at the Barclays Center event.

Fordham’s New York Liberty For The Grit Grace And Glory Shirt

The Fordham’s New York Liberty For The Grit Grace And Glory Shirt features a clean black background with a striking mint green illustration of the Statue of Liberty surrounded by large white lettering. The italicized typography gives the front image a dynamic street art feel while keeping the message instantly recognizable.

The Statue of Liberty directly connects the artwork to New York identity, while “For the Enduring, Graceful, and Glorious” celebrates determination, quality, and achievement. Zepeda explains that this iconic landmark represents the inspiration and possibilities associated with coming to New York, making it a natural centerpiece for this collaboration.

Add the shirt to your wardrobe for a bold blend of basketball culture, college spirit, and unmistakable New York energy. Its striking image and meaningful message make it an easy conversation starter on game days, city outings, and casual wear.
